My friend, Jenny, was visiting from Orange. It was such a hot day, so we decided to go ice-skating.
It was the first time for both of us to try ice-skating and it was really hard. I thought it looked quite easy, but once you go out onto the slippery ice, it is very scary. My feet were sliding in all directions and my legs started to shake uncontrollably. I had to hold onto the wall for the first 30 minutes, but slowly I started to get the hang of it.
Jenny was much better at skating than me, but she fell over quite a few times and got really wet and cold. I was happy to take it a bit slower and not fall over.
Afterwards Mum asked if we wanted an ice-cream, but both of us said no, because we were just too cold. I would never do ice-skating in the winter.
